اثر جدید استاد علیرضا افتخاری با نام «ماه خراسان» وارد بازار موسیقی شد. این اثر به آهنگسازی و تنظیم «حسن میرزاخانی» منتشر شده و شامل 8 ترانه با ملودی های خراسانی است. افتخاری و میرزاخانی حدود 1 دهه پیش در آلبومی با نام «هنگامه» با یکدیگر همکاری کرده بودند.
ماه خراسان به فاصله تقریبا ۱ ماه از آلبوم قبلی (آوای عشق) منتشر شد.
پیش از این قرار بود این آلبوم به استاد محمدرضا شجریان تقدیم شود که بنابر دلایلی این امر منتفی گردید.
